Default JDM folding mirrors info

well i recently got a set of power folding mirrors.. and here is a start of a write up to get these things working. figureing out the wiring and such. here is the first step to get the mirror internals out of the casings and into your already painted housings. Just trying to add some more info for anyone that wants to attempt this mod.

ok here we go..LOL
first off here is what it looks like together

here is the plug and how to remove that. first pull the long white piece out where my needle nose pliers are located

now once thats out unclip the inside caseing here where my pick it pushing in... there are two clips on eash side.. just push them in and then slide out the clip with those needle nose

now thats out of the way.. look inside and you will see these little clips above each wire... you want to reach inside with the pick and lift up on each one and pull the wire out from the back side like this..

once you have the wires out the plug should look like this

ok now to remove the base

once you get those two screws out the base will come off.
now to remove the internals from the housing you need to make sure that this is algined to remove the screws that hold it all inside the housing...
if its not algined just put power to the two wires that do the folding action and align it up.

now that its aligned removed these two screws

now that those are removed remove the last remaining screws that hold the unit in

now the whole thing will come apart and look like this

hope this helps you out.. and now you can change them over to your painted housings..NO PAINT!!!! LOL
Chris
