Default How-To: ATI/TITAN Crank pulley (no pics)

Time: 2hrs

Tools: Basic hand tools(sockets and such), Breaker bar, small sander and polisher that fits on the end of any drill.

1. First start by Draining the radiator as it will need to be removed.

2. Remove the fan which is held in by 4 bolts.

3. Remove the radiator and shroud.

4.Now at this point you should be able to see the serp belt..you are now going to have to remove this. Unbolt the tensioner and it should slide out of place.

5. Now comes the removal of the crank bolt! Place the breaker bar on the crank bolt and have the handle resting just under the passenger frame rail, give the motor one quick crank. Under the power of the engine it should have gotten the bolt lose.

6. Test fit the new crank pully to make sure it slides all the way on. If not you may have to sand the inside down a bit until it fits perfect. Then polish it smooth.

7. After installing place the bolt back on and use the breaker bar to tighten it and get it as tight as possible.

8. After the bolts in turn on the car for about 5 seconds just to check. Then install the new Gates belt which is smaller than the oem one to fit the new crank pulley.

9. Reinstall everything as it was and take it for a test drive.
