The new (used) defective AEM was getting a flaky cam angle sensor signal... drained my battery and killed my plugs.
Out with the old:
In with the new:
My original EMS was sent to AEM and should be back here next week.
Changed the plugs to the NGK 4091's (gapped @ .28, might have to go lower though) as recommended by some as I couldn't find the new 6097 part number:
Jump starting the Supra with my daily from cranking the car over so much the previous night with the defective AEM....
Woot...

That is some funny shit right there.
It does not have to be a gold box to work.
Dont forget that i used to tune that heap of mine to a flat line on the dyno with a box that only has two extra switches.

I've heard the horror stories about defective AEM units but yet so many supra owners have them, and still buy them, why is that?

Mine simply kicked the bucket because of my mistake, not because the AEM randomly decided to not work.
AEM, like any other electronic, can be fragile when not properly used. Alot of people add piggy backs to the harness (boost controller, wideband, extra injectors, etc..) which can overload certain circuits.
I learned from my mistake. Up until this the AEM has been functioning perfectly normal daily driving for 2 years. I have a couple of friends who have had their same box for 7+ years with no issues.

I am not denying your ingenuity. In fact, I still have the pictures of you tuning your heap:

People are not actually people, they are lemmings in disguise.
