I was thinking of going 1j, back when my headgasket blew, I did some research, and all I found out that was different was the bell housing, and engine, ecu, for the most part. So I said the hell with it, bought a whole jdm 7mgte, with r154. Now I'm looking for a 1j engine to put to single, bell housing, going to get a aem to run it all, that is about 2-3 years down the road from now. I went from 89 auto N/A, to stock 89T. I thought this way was a bit easier, and cheaper at the time, also I don't have much time anymore to work on anything, thanks to college courses.
